August 1 - 2, 2025 Fort Collins, CO 80524 US

Gas, Food, Sleep, Showers

Image

Teams enjoy the late night spaghetti + salad dinner at Woods Landing, WY at the halfway point between around 6 pm and 11 pm on Friday Night

FOOD
While teams must be self sufficient in bringing and keeping water, electrolytes and food stocked in their vehicles, there are many stops along the way where food is available for purchase, for free (with donations encouraged) and a few exchanges with race provided water and electrolyte refills.

Food (mostly donated) is available at all Van Exchanges: This is where (for standard teams with 2 vans), the Active van is finishing their set of legs and meets up with the Inactive Van for them to takeover. For example, Van 1 is active and running Legs 1 - 6, while Van 2 "rests" and meets them at Exchange 6. Runner 6 from Van 1 hands off to Runner 7 from Van 2. Van 2 is now the active van, running legs 7-12, while Van 1 rests and heads towards Exchange 12.

SLEEP

Sleeping mostly takes place in team vans while traveling, but if you're a team of 8-12 and have two vehicles, there is plenty of time and space to nap outside in tents or hammocks, and one time indoors, along the course

SHOWERS

Most teams choose to forego official showers but there is one option to shower at a highschool (a little over halfway). You may also rent a cabin at Woods Landing for rest/showers.We highly discourage going too far off course to rest/shower as the extra time driving may not be worth it.
